Lineage2 Divine is no more

Postby Sinistrfiend on Thu Sep 17, 2009 7:19 am

Divine in Lineage2 has had a great run. We made great strides from beta up to this point. 5 years of memories are now behind us. Unfortunately, due to circumstances unforseen I have terminated the Divine branch in Lineage2. The standards that we once upheld, have been completely forgotten in inexcusable behavior and actions.

I urge those left in Divine Lineage2 that believe in an in game family and brotherhood to rejoin our ranks in Aion. Once Divine always Divine. We should never leave anyone behind. We should only pick them up, throw them on our shoulders and carry them as they would do for us. There will be no selfishness and we will work as 1 team, 1 entity and 1 family. That is Divine.

In Aion, you will see many old and new faces representing Divine. We will continue our legacy in a new game and continue with what we believe in.

We had a great run in LineageII.

'Hats off to all fellow former leaders!
Most noteably: Sinister, Mawar, Xivic, Narem, MyIvy, Sciblade, Winter (yes you, winter!) and Karigan.
Every one of you should be thanked ten-fold for committing yourselves to the well-being of Divine and its family.
As they say, its been an honor and a privelage to serve with you!

To every council that served under this group, you kept us going & let Divine fulfill its greatest potential!

We wouldn't have been anything, though, if it wasn't for the myriad of amazing members that we've seen over the years!

I hope all former members can look back at the great times we've shared and be as proud as I feel about Divine and its accomplishments. Stepping through memory lane L2 style takes me back to our first castle capture and the first successful siege on Hindemith. I think the video is still out there somewhere  ... The first successful raid on Antharas, and many other firsts went under our belt too. Its memories like these that really make me feel honored to have played with you all.

To all recent members, I wish you the best in your journeys and encourage you all to keep the Divine family close! We'll always be here... We weren't (and still are technically) the oldest clan on Hinde for nothing!

Much love and respect,
Krow

Yes, Divine had a great run.. back in C1 maybe up to Interlude... i kinda lost track of the time with all those updates. I just went tru all my screenshots from C3, when i actually joined the clan, and i must say... there are many faces i miss right now.

Divine simply kept running in the opposite direction of the wind, without updating the creed, without adapting to the new enviroment...you cannot expect to be on top.

But honesly, Divine lasted more than i expected... after all the former people left/quit. What we've been doing here for the past year is trying artificialy to keep Divine alive with all the new recruits and the merge with ImmortalNight (which happend to be a good move and i had fun playing with you guys).

I want to say thanks to Sciblade, VocanzMortous, MarrenStar and Occido, for being the oldest members around here with me. Also thanks to Krow, Narem, Sciblade, Fightgirl, WinterNight, DurealFirali, AlbertLewis and MyIvy... for being the strong Divine leaders we had, but we lost...

So yeah.. what i have left are hundreds of screenshots and a couple of videos i have made for the time being in Divine, one of the most remarkable clans in L2 history.

Would like to tip my hat to all of the Divine players through the years and there leaders and with that same respect i want to really put a spot light on SCIBLADE,WINTERNIGHT who did something no previous old Divine member has done and that is - They Stayed The Course - From hell nor high water those 2 always kept a positive light and guidance to anyone that had that Legendary {D} tag over there head to the very end... I have been around for 5 years and i have told Sci/Winter many times that Divine was always smart they always hung around even when you thought they were down and out - they would regroup re build and were always at the top and even getting the nick name "Server Police"...

They made it because they made good friendships with other clans mainly starting with "Epoch" and i was there and i know how much Abyss,Ckc helped i also have screen shots of first Antharas raid that we called the "Chirstmas Raid" because of all the Red divine tags and Green Epoch tags- i will also note that mighty Core only showed up with 2 scrub/Sub partys for the raid... In any event was History on Hindy when the dragon went down.. I also can think of Divine takeing Goddard castle first Siege cycle all the while Epoch took everything down that moved in the front- thats the respect folks had for Divine- when i think or pass through Dion i always remind myself that there was a time when Dion was "Divines House" and then there were the Mafia wars...

That being said i want to point out a turning point in Divine that some old members may not understand- if you say Divine is bad now etc friends with bot clans etc - I want you too look back to when Divine worked hand in hand with Fs{known botters, adena sellers,l2walker} to try and fight us when i was in Genesiz/Redemption - you say Divine has eroded well my friends it started years ago and why? Because that was your only option at the time to fight Redemption and most of you were still playing.. This 2k9 version is no different and we have all busted our ass to pvp/xp/all the while falling deeper and further back vs these botted/program users..We kept that Tag up going against the grain on the server...Feel fortunate that you have not had to fight our fights!!

We all know Divine will always be thought of as Legendary and you should respect the ones who tried to keep that fire going till the end- I didnt do it for myself - truth be told i have done everything in this game one can do and legit,over6k pvp,80,78,75 and anyone thats played with me will tell u or heard me say "dont go backwards when we can step into them and go forward" that is the heart of Divine, its a blue print thats timeless in games and in life... Was a honor to wear the tag- is a honor for those same folks i fought with and vs to read these words...
Strength & Heart <-- without heart you will never have Honor they go hand in hand... Good Fight All And The Story Will Go On... Sin your time and hard work to start in l2 and even to pass through other games is well respected,Divine will spear head any game it chooses thats already a proven fact.. Take Care Friends

Sin is the leader of Divine as a whole; if anyone has the authority to make that call it would be him.

Thanks for the good times guys! hope to see you in Aion

I don't reconize any autority of this man on LII - legion.
Only the LII-legion clan leader can decide to end the clan.
So far the LII-legion clan leader is still Karigan and not him.

Oh Btw thank you very mutch to send the clan in tomb from a public place when some ppl try to work hard to rise up again.

Very very nice from you

Sinister is the leader of divine, he does and will continue to do, what he must for the whole of Divine. we work as a group of guilds with its own leaders/council that function as a whole under Divine, sin is the makdaddy that is leader of leaders.. if he pulls the plug it is pulled for good and his decisions should be trusted and respected. im sure he has talked to the leaders of of L2 and they have all decided this was necessary.

I understand what your saying Kitty but "Divine" is used in all the games that you see on the forums here and Sin is the "Divine" leader. Apart from the different leader each game may have I believe he is the one that holds onto "Divine" through the multiple starting of guilds in there respective places.

Lets not taint this thread and leave it as a farwell from older members.

I havent been in Divine nearly as long as others but the ones I have played with helped make the game enjoyable. Wish everyone the best of luck as we part in our different directions. It was a pleasure.

Let me start with the bad since I want to finish on a good note.

I have watched this ally decline for years in its policy handling and "adaptation." I have spoken a few times here and on the officials because I still truly care and am quite disappointed that this chapter of divine has come to a close due to its recent handlings of "those who stayed the course." Changing with the times is what got Divine where it is now, a joke of a name where the clans in game don't even have the divine name in them...at all. There is nothing in the Divine creed that ever allowed for cheating to get ahead, and shame on all of you that had a part in allowing that to occur to be able to pvp with the "in" crowd.

That being said, I would like to next take full responsibility for this occuring. I should have stayed and helped mold with the changes rather than bailing when I thought the corruption was so deep I couldnt fight my way through it. There was no strength in my decision to leave what we had going. I keep thinking, if I had stayed, would elfis still be here, would chris still be here, would my other friends that I had so much respect for here be around. Truth is, I don't know.

The loss of people like bamela and others who were so clan oriented that it hurt to not be like them I believe is what affected my decision the most. But on to the good stuff. I really miss the people we had back then, dureal, xtan(i think), alz, elfis, krow, kobay, bamela, yamaguchi, winter, narem pre crusaders employment, fg's crew pre crusaders employment, mad, nya, flecke, panpan, silvy, ani4ka(yes u), mawar pre whatever that pp woman was that pealed him into wow, sinister(of course), sciblade, shandathe, fortuna, mawata...the list could go on and on. We really had some quality people. You all as well as the others slipping my memory have such a profound impact on the folks around you. Remember that as you push into new games.

That's right. You bailed when you couldn't do it, then stood there pointing fingers at and mocking the ones that tried.

Best of luck to the Divine in other games. Thanks to Sinister and Dagger for their work on the forums and ventrilo in the last few years.
